Loan Amount: £180,000
Loan Purpose: Pre-disclosure family law divorce proceedings

The client approached Untangled at the early stages of their divorce proceedings, having recently instructed a solicitor to represent them. As the case moved towards the disclosure stage, funding was required to ensure legal work could progress and key information could be obtained from the other party.

At Untangled, we understand that every family law case is different. Some clients require support nearing the end of proceedings, while others need funding much earlier to help uncover the facts of a case and move matters forward. This client fell into the latter category, requiring access to funding before financial disclosure had taken place.

Recognising the unique circumstances of the matter, our team took a flexible approach to structuring the facility. Rather than waiting to provide the full requested amount, we offered an initial tranche of funding as a percentage of the overall £180,000 facility. This enabled the client's solicitors to continue progressing the case and maintain momentum in the proceedings without delay.

As a result, funding was approved and made available within just 48 hours of submission. The client gained immediate access to the support they needed, while their legal team had the confidence and resources to continue advancing the case towards a positive outcome.

"This case highlights the importance of taking a tailored approach to every application By understanding the client's immediate needs, we were able to provide a practical solution that kept the case moving and delivered support exactly when it was needed most." – Will, Growth Specialist at Untangled
