What you need to know

We want to help you understand how this loan works and what it could mean for you:

  • The loan amount, including interest and any charges, is designed to be repaid from your financial settlement or other agreed outcome of your case.
  • The loan is repaid before any remaining settlement funds are released to you, which will reduce the settlement amount you ultimately receive.
  • If your case settles for less than expected, the settlement amount available to you after repayment may be reduced.
  • If you breach the terms of your loan agreement, or if your case does not progress as expected, the loan will become repayable before your settlement is received.

All lending is subject to eligibility and creditworthiness assessments.

What you'll pay and when

Divorce is hard enough. Getting funding shouldn't be.

We make it straightforward to get the legal support you need, without upfront costs or hidden fees.

For example:

If you borrow £25,000 on day one and then repaid after 12 months at an interest rate of 19.5% per annum (variable). Representative 20.8% APR, then the total amount payable is £30,175. This includes £300 for independent legal advice payable at the end of the term. The total charge for credit is £5,175.

How repayment works

We cut confusion, not corners.  We're clear about how repayment works, so you’ll get no surprises later.
  • There's no monthly payments or upfront costs. Our loans are designed around these situations, which is why you usually only repay the loan once your settlement has realised.
  • Your solicitor will repay your loan, including interest and any charges, directly from your settlement when your case is finalised.
  • This repayment happens before any funds are paid to you.
  • Because of this, the amount you receive from your settlement will be reduced by the value of the loan.
  • If your settlement doesn’t cover the full balance, you’ll need to pay the remaining amount yourself.
  • If your case ends early or is discontinued, you’ll still be responsible for repaying the loan to us.
  • If the loan terms are breached, or your case runs longer than 24 months, repayment may be required before your settlement is received.

We do not provide legal or financial advice. If necessary please seek independent advice.
